The beauty of recycling clothes.
The joy is in the hunt and the beauty is in the found treasure!! If you have never gone thrift shopping or been to a clothing exchange store, you really should try it. There are several located in your area. You can google "recycling clothes" or "clothing exchange" or "2nd hand" or "consignment."
I know a lot of people are not too fond of acquiring or purchasing another's used goods but keep in mind that recycling is a way of life. It's good for the environment and there are some clothes that still hold value. Rather than throw it away or let it clog up the ozone, you can donate your clothing to charity, or you can try selling or trading your clothing (as long as it is in good condition) to a clothing exchange/trade store where they will give you 35% off the ticketed price in cash or 50% off of anything in their store. I was an avid "seller." I would do some "spring cleaning" of all the things I thought could sell and take it down to "Buffalo Exchange," a trendy clothing exchange shop in Berkeley, CA.
When I first did it I was mortified!! They picked nothing of mine!! Why? Because they were not in season. If you have an eye for what's in season and you find that you're not wearing it anymore because a) it doesn't fit anymore or b) it's not you, then try your luck and sell it to the clothing exchange stores but keep in mind, they must be in season and they must be in good condition. That means, no tears, no seams coming out of the bottom and no stains. It should be as attractive as it was on the hanger when you first bought it. Tons of people buy items, wear it once and never wear it again. If you are that person, you can either donate it to charity or if you want to make a buck or two, sell it to your nearest clothing exchange store. With all that said, I managed to master the art of buy, sell, trade and now I know what to donate and what to sell and with success!! I stopped feeling humiliated when turned away because my items weren't chosen and I actually got paid!!
To sum this post up, I found this great inspirational "To The Max" flutter sleeve dress when doing my "treasure hunting," inspected it, bought it, dry-cleaned it and it's good as new!!
